Yesterday was a difficult day and yet an exciting day at church. Yesterday, I went before the congregation at Connection Church, where I have been pastoring for the past 2 years, and announced that God is calling me and my family away from that church into our hometown of Mount Airy, Maryland.
This announcement has been the culmination of a long process of praying for and listening to what God's will was for the next season of our lives. God has shown us that he has placed an aching in our heart for our town of Mount Airy, and he desires us to engage the people there for his glory.
This decision is quite a difficult one considering we were there at Connection at its first service in February, 2011. We are grateful for the time that God has given us at Connection and for all the people that have become family over the past two years.
Despite this, we are excited for what the future holds for us in Mount Airy. We are excited to better be able to engage the people in our own community and get to see everything from grocery shopping to eating out as an opportunity to engage a lost world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of all, we are excited to be following after where God is leading us because he always has the best in mind for us.
There will be more to come in the future on this, but for now we just wish to say thank you to everyone at Connection Church for the past 2 years.
Thank You!
We love you Brian and though I am sad that your leaving, God has plans for you and like you said yesterday he has plans for Connection too.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. Jer. 29:11
ReplyDeleteBrian you can't go wrong when the Holy Spirit is leading the way. Prayers are with you as you make this transition.
Peace in Christ,
